The semiconductor heterojunction of SrTiO3 and CeO2 was found to serve as the function of inhibiting electronic transport and enhanc- ing ionic conductivity in fuel cell devices. The OCV of fuel cell based on STO/CeO2 composite membrane is 1.09 V, indicating negligible short-circuit in the electrolyte.
